About Jill McLeod
Jill McLeod has over twenty years combined
experience as a lawyer and mediator. She believes that the role of a lawyer is to help
people solve problems, rather than routinely take cases to Court. She enjoys helping
individuals and families resolve a broad range of disputes and move on with their lives.
Ms. McLeod trained as a social worker before going to law
school. After being called to the Bar of Ontario in 1981, she practiced family law
litigation in all levels of Court in Ontario for many years, before obtaining a Master of
Laws degree specializing in conflict resolution. As a trained mediator and collaborative
lawyer, Ms. McLeod has the skill and experience to analyze conflict and intervene
effectively. With a strong background in health care, she is also called upon to mediate
conflicts in the fields of health care and elder care.
Ms. McLeod is married to a psychologist and has two
children.
